Our Teachers

Mary Anderson and Sue Williams purchased Little Brick School from the founder, Rosemary Hoban, in 1997. They each have over 20 years' experience in early childhood education, specifically with preschool-aged children. Both owners are certified to administer medicines and both are Connecticut state-approved head teachers. All Little Brick School staff members are CPR certified.

Mary Anderson

Director / Co-Owner

Mary Anderson has dedicated over 25 years to LBS, beginning her career in 1985 as a teacher for Little Brick School’s founder. Currently teaching morning and afternoon four-year-old classes, Mary stresses the importance of learning through play.

Mary and her husband Ken live in Litchfield. Each of their two boys enjoyed their years at Little Brick School.

Sue Williams

Head Teacher / Co-Owner

Sue Williams has worked in the childcare field since obtaining her degree in Early Childhood Education in 1986. She worked for Rosemary Hoban (founder of Little Brick School) from 1986-1988 when she left to become the regional director of a major childcare corporation for the next seven years. She returned to Little Brick School in 1996.

Sue is married and has two grown children, and a granddaughter and grandson, both of whom were recently Bricks. She and her husband Jeff live in Norfolk, where Sue enjoys gardening and weaving.

Tricia Cote

Teacher

Tricia joined our staff in 2010. We’d known her in the past as “Kayla’s mom.” With her background as a former kindergarten teacher, she was a great substitute teacher. We are pleased that she has joined us. In her first year, she worked with the Little Bricks and transitioned to the Big Bricks’ classroom this year. Tricia and her family live in Bethlehem.

Erica Dorsett-Mathews

Teacher

Joining us this year in the Little Brick classroom is Erica Dorsett-Mathews. She studied both school counseling and marriage and family counseling, and she has worked with children with special needs. Her elder son was a Brick School graduate last year and her younger son is a Big Brick this year. Erica was a great help when she subbed for us last year, very kind and gentle in the classroom. She lives on a farm here in Morris with her husband Corey and their sons.
